Every now and then we feel like running a competition to spread the minigolf love. In November’s Newmarket Wedding Show we offered the chance to win a free wedding mini golf course. The challenge? Take a photo of yourselves in the special wedding face in hole board from Photocutouts and share it on social media. The winners, chosen at random out of a hat by our lovely Shelley, were Kat and Chris Price, whose wedding took place at Bedford Lodge, Newmarket on Easter Monday. Here’s Shelley at our offices pulling the winning photo out of a hat.

Kat and Chris have kindly sent us some photos of the wedding mini golf course. It was a beautiful day, but even if the weather hadn’t been quite so friendly, the Putterfingers course would have stayed useable because of the quick-drain astro grass matting that makes up the putting surface, which ensures that water does not gather and leaves the surface dry to putt on after a shower.
As you can see, the course works just as well outdoors as indoors. Any reasonably flat surface can be used to lay it out on.
The competition combined Putterfingers crazy golf with our sister company Photo Cutouts, who make face in hole boards for every occasion including weddings.
A wedding mini golf course keeps young ones amused and can challenge grown-ups as well. It’s not as easy as it looks to get a hole in one. Warning: minigolf is very addictive!
Now is the time to talk to us about hiring a mini golf course for YOUR Spring or Summer wedding! Call Shelley for a chat on 08450 570321 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
So were you lucky enough to get proposed to over the festive season? Many congratulations if you did!
So now the celebrations are over, it is time to think about the wedding planning…..
It may not sound it in the first instance, but weddings and mini golf are a perfect match, trust us we have been to many weddings!! Over the years we have had many brides have a crazy golf course in the grounds of their wedding venue and it has been a fantastic addition to what has been a great day full of laughter and fond memories.
Crazy Golf at weddings isn’t a new thing for the team at Putterfingers. We have entertained several bridal parties at weddings in recent years. We get lots of enquiries at this time of the year with excited brides, planning their budget and making their day stand out in the crowd looking for a fully inclusive, family activity – great fun for the big kids too!
Our wedding packages are simple, either hire on a self assembly basis or we can deliver and set up for you on the day.
We can also liaise directly with the venue or your wedding co-ordinator to arrange the delivery and collection, taking the pressure away from you to concentrate on more important wedding preparations.
Most venues are happy to have us too – our courses have a soft rubber base, meaning they won’t damage the grass or mark or scratch indoor surfaces. In addition, we only use low bounce balls so there is no fear of broken windows, as these balls don’t have the flight of a traditional golf ball. We can also provide practice foam balls if essential. Here is a throwback of a couple of brides playing our crazy golf course.
