The Golf Foundation wants to support Physical Education and extra-curricular school sport in Primary Schools because it believes that golf can make a positive contribution to the development of young children for a number of wider educational reasons.

Using golf as a Physical Education activity places emphasis on building standards, enables children of mixed abilities to participate together and provides a good introduction to ball skills. It also improves hand eye co-ordination and there is little body movement required. In addition, the introduction of golf provides the opportunity for children to apply numeracy skills in their PE sessions, counting number of strokes to the hole.

The Tri-Golf concept uses components that are suitable for Primary School children and the use of a plastic putter and oversized dimpled foam ball to make it easier to putt the ball into the hole! Both items are available in our online golf store.
